About The Position

Requirements

  • Two years of professional research experience in a laboratory setting, or one year as a Staff Research Associate II in Nevada State service.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the general chemistry stockroom serving teaching laboratories.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and modify scientific instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare lab experiments in a timely manner according to instructor guidelines.
  • Train and supervise student employees in stockroom operations.
  • Ensure safety and compliance in laboratory areas and during experiments.
  • Manage purchasing, stock management, and budget for laboratory supplies.
  • Oversee hazardous waste management and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Assist with instructional activities and support research initiatives.
