About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a nursing job in Temple, Texas. Schedule: Full Time - Nights - 36 hours per week. Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's flagship NICU, located in Temple, is the only Level IV NICU located between Dallas and Austin. This 51-bed unit treats approximately 800 newborns each year. The NICU cares for the most fragile and premature newborns as well as full-term newborns diagnosed with serious or life-threatening conditions. The NICU is staffed by experienced pediatric specialists called neonatologists who oversee each child's care and collaborate with other pediatric specialists. The most advanced technology is used to support the fragile infant's breathing and many other life-sustaining measures. The average length of stay for extremely premature infants is about three months. We pride ourselves on teamwork and having lots of support to get through your shifts. We have lots of multidisciplinary opportunities and have strong relationships with our OB colleagues, providers, surgeons, RT's and ECMO coordinator.

Requirements

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing ADN required.
• Active RN License.
• Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

Nice To Haves

• 2 Years of Experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a Level IV NICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and other pediatric specialists.
• Monitor and support fragile infants using advanced technology.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
