About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Intermediate Care for a nursing job in College Station, Texas. This position is for the Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit, which caters to adult patients with cardiac issues, strokes, and multi-organ dysfunction. The unit has a capacity of 40 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5. The job requires working 36 hours per week on a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with self-scheduling options available. Baylor Scott & White Health College Station is a private, non-profit, 143-bed, multi-specialty hospital recognized as a certified advanced primary stroke center and a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has achieved the American Nurse Credentialing Center Magnet Designation, emphasizing its commitment to high-quality healthcare.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in intermediate care or telemetry nursing.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
