Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Educator for a nursing job in Temple, Texas. We are looking for a Bachelors prepared RN, with nursing experience in Day Surgery and PACU, who is interested in nursing education. This position will be full-time, Monday - Friday, combining six days in Nursing Professional Development (NPD) and four days in a charge role. As a Generalist/Charge RN in Nursing Professional Development, you will use specialized tools and knowledge to enhance healthcare practices, promoting effective education and professional development practices. Your role involves advancing the Nursing Professional Development practice in line with our system's model and advocating for practices to improve patient outcomes.

  • Develop and assess professional development programmes based on recognized industry standards.
  • Predict audience needs, consider challenges, validate with stakeholders, and assist with educational planning.
  • Partner in executing educational plans, utilizing strategies that encourage a conducive learning and practice environment.
  • Create, implement, and assess educational activities, programs, or projects based on existing literature and practical experience.
  • Employ valid and reliable methods to measure outcomes and update activities based on data.
  • Establish and maintain connections with Community Education programs.
  • Uphold ethical standards in practice and advise colleagues through ethical dilemmas.
  • Promote research and apply scientific knowledge in practice.
  • Coordinate and engage in tasks vital for ensuring the best quality of patient care.
  • Supervise and manage patient care in a senior nursing role with high quality standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain it within thirty days.
  • Registered Nurse License (RN) from Texas.
