About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) ED - Emergency Department for a nursing job in Rowlett, Texas. Our Emergency Department unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. The Emergency Department leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The department serves a diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with patient ratios of 4:1, increasing to 5:1 during patient surges. The facility is a Level 3 trauma center with an average of 100 patients per day and around 20-30 EMS ambulances per day. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Level 3 trauma center.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience with pediatric emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment options.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
