About The Position

Position performs diagnostic radiographic examinations, applying principles of radiation protection and principles of effective patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support - American Red Cross
  • Radiography (R) Certification and Registration - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.
  • Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) or accredited radiography program.
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Performs high-quality radiographic images per scanning protocols, correlating patient history with examination and presents study to medical providers for examination while adhering to patient schedules.
  • Performs daily calibration for bone density machines.
  • Collaborates with medical providers & medical assistants to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Responsible for communication and patient images, performs data entry, and completes documentation necessary for images.
  • Maintains established departmental policies/procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, and environmental and infection control standards.
  • Enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and conferences.
  • Assists with maintaining supplies.
