This role establishes scientific and engineering methods based on proven research and supports product teams in developing industry‑leading mechanical solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering within an R&D environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to cross‑functional teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in catheter development or related medical device engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced mechanical engineering support throughout product design, development, verification, validation, and commercialization.
• Apply proven scientific methodologies to build high‑quality, innovative products.
• Investigate and document reported incidents to maintain product quality and reliability.
• Review testing, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with product and customer specifications.
• Develop proposals for new R&D initiatives for inclusion in capital expenditure budgets.
• Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coach and guide junior engineers in methods, processes, and best practices.
• Demonstrate and apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily work.
