What will you be doing?

Requirements

BS degree with 12 years experience, MS with 8 years or PhD with 4 years in engineering, science or related field, or equivalent combination
Strong expertise in product design, prototyping and testing
Ability to work independently, applying sound judgment and offering innovative solutions
Experience developing test methodologies and authoring technical documentation
Strong communication skills for presenting research internally and externally
Knowledge of design controls and regulatory expectations including PMA and BLA pathways
Advanced statistical analysis skills including Minitab

Responsibilities

Leading research and technology project teams, providing technical direction and mentoring to engineers
Driving concept development, prototyping, product design, feasibility work and verification testing, including writing protocols and reports
Developing and validating biomechanical and biological test methods for sports medicine repair devices
Creating and maintaining design control documentation including risk assessments, usability, user needs and design inputs
Engaging with customers, including surgeons and commercial teams, to understand user needs and observe procedures
Supporting patent activities, competitive analysis and product performance testing
Guiding products through development phases supporting scale up toward commercialization
