We are looking for a Staff QA/Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Manager of ZTB Team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of the ZTB product.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of QA/Test/Automation development and experience in network and security products
  • Proficient in RESTful APIs, and exposure within one or more networking layer protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VxLAN, etc.)
  • Skilled in Python and/or PyTest, with preferred experience in Selenium/Playwright scripting, and testing routers, firewalls, and micro-segmentation products
  • Expertise in testing cloud-based architectures, virtual machines (VMs), and containerized deployments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in certifications like FIPS, FedRAMP, Common Criteria, SOC2
  • Experienced in Agile development and testing processes within dynamic environments
  • CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation test frameworks and suites to ensure Zscaler products meet reliability, scalability, and resilience standards
  • Plan and execute test suites for each release cycle, ensuring thorough coverage and quality assurance
  • Develop innovative test strategies to simulate real-world customer usage scenarios effectively
  • Integrate regression test suites with CI/CD pipelines, while monitoring results to ensure seamless workflows
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and engineering teams to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software
