Staff Psychiatrist - Adult Outpatient Program
About The Position
The Staff Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations and treatment to Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare (TCBHC) clients as appropriate. This position's duties will include the following: Provides routine outpatient medication services to new and existing consumers. Responsible for conducting psychiatric examinations, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, and completing associated documentation. Provides clinical direction and leadership in team development of treatment plans. Provides support and consultation to other team members and service providers.
Requirements
- Requires completion of accredited residency in Psychiatry.
- Texas Medical License in good standing.
- DEA and DPS Certificates.
- Board Eligible or Certified.
- Knowledge of acceptable medical practice, Psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, Psychopharmacology, Crisis intervention strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish rapport and get along with patients and co-workers and ability to work productively as a team member.
- Applicants must have a valid Drivers License and be insurable through Tri-County.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, will be paid at a higher rate.
