The Product Marketing Engineer (PME) is a deeply technical role at the intersection of infrastructure, storytelling, and product. You’ll help translate Tiger Data’s database architecture into credible, high-signal assets that drive developer adoption, technical understanding, and market awareness. You will work hands-on with engineering, product, and docs teams to: Craft technically rigorous narratives, Build and publish performance benchmarks, Contribute example queries and reference architecture Help technical decision-makers understand why Tiger Data is the Postgres for real-time and AI-native applications. This is a perfect role for someone with deep infrastructure experience who wants to shape go-to-market strategy without giving up their technical edge.

Requirements

  • Deep infrastructure experience—you understand how modern data systems are built, deployed, and scaled.
  • Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, query planning, and performance tuning.
  • Experience designing or running technical benchmarks, ideally in high-ingest or real-time environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex infrastructure trade-offs to developers in clear, actionable terms.
  • Strong writing skills with a portfolio of technical blogs, docs, or reports.
  • Comfort collaborating across product, engineering, docs, and GTM teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with: Vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate) Time-series architectures Event streaming and orchestration tools (Kafka)
  • Previous work in developer tools, AI infrastructure, or open-source ecosystems
