About The Position

The Staff Product Manager will play a critical role in advancing Walmart's Transportation Network Platform, helping connect shippers, carriers, and logistics systems into a unified, intelligent network. This role focuses on driving executional excellence, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable transportation capabilities that improve efficiency, speed, and reliability across Walmart's supply chain. You will lead initiatives that transform how transportation data, automation, and partner ecosystems come together to support dynamic capacity planning and network optimization. The ideal candidate combines strong product craftsmanship with operational fluency in logistics, capable of translating business challenges into actionable product solutions that scale. The Transportation Services Product team is transforming Walmart's logistics ecosystem into a connected, data-driven platform that enables our omnichannel operations. We build solutions that optimize movement of goods, connect internal and external transportation partners, and leverage data science to continuously improve delivery speed, reliability, and cost efficiency. Our charter includes: Developing digital tools that enhance visibility, automation, and partner experience. Enabling real-time network intelligence through predictive insights and optimization models. Integrating internal fleet systems and external carrier capabilities through scalable APIs and workflows. Powering new service models through connected transportation experiences.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to transportation, logistics, or marketplace products.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex platform initiatives across technical and operational teams.
  • Experience leveraging analytics and experimentation to inform product decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, routing, or network optimization concepts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of converting high-level strategies into executable, high-impact product workstreams.
  • A mindset for continuous improvement, curiosity, and ownership of results.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years' experience in product management.
  • Option 2: 9 years' experience in product management or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 6 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products

Responsibilities

  • Translate the transportation platform strategy into clear, prioritized roadmaps and product deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across tech, data, and business teams to build scalable solutions that enhance load matching, routing, and carrier visibility.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science to develop data-driven decision frameworks that optimize cost and service performance.
  • Design and improve digital workflows for carrier engagement, capacity allocation, and load tracking.
  • Analyze performance data and customer feedback to continuously improve platform adoption and outcomes.
  • Partner with operations and finance teams to evaluate new feature impact on efficiency, reliability, and total cost of ownership.
  • Drive strong stakeholder alignment through storytelling, metrics, and structured communication.
