3.55 Staff/Principal Product Manager
About The Position
Field AI is transforming how robots interact with the real world. We are building risk-aware, reliable, and field-ready AI systems that address the most complex challenges in robotics, unlocking the full potential of embodied intelligence. We go beyond typical data-driven approaches or pure transformer-based architectures, and are charting a new course, with already-globally-deployed solutions delivering real-world results and rapidly improving models through real-field applications. We are hiring a Staff or Principal Product Manager to operate across product verticals and own frontier product areas that do not yet fit cleanly into a single domain. This role is designed for a senior individual contributor who can create product clarity in pre-category spaces and define durable product foundations that vertical teams can later build on.This is not a people management role. Impact comes from judgment, authority, and the ability to define product truth where none exists yet.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience on complex or frontier products
- Demonstrated success operating as a senior IC with broad scope and authority
- Strong product sense and technical calibration across domains
- Comfort making irreversible or high-impact decisions with limited data
- Ability to influence without relying on formal hierarchy
Nice To Haves
- Experience spanning multiple domains such as construction, security, inspection, or robotics
- Background in deep tech, platforms, or zero-to-one product development
- Prior experience shaping early product strategy that later scaled into portfolios
Responsibilities
- Own product definition for cross-vertical and frontier product areas
- Identify emerging product opportunities and define their initial scope and boundaries
- Create structure in ambiguous problem spaces before domain specialization occurs
- Make high-leverage product decisions that shape future product lines
- Partner closely with engineering, AI, robotics, and platform teams on feasibility
- Serve as the escalation point for complex scope and product integrity decisions
- Prevent premature specialization and customer-driven divergence
