Staff Physician, Geriatrics

The Staff Physician delivers comprehensive primary care services to participants of AltaMed’s Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). This role is central to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), ensuring high-quality, patient-centered, and regulatory-compliant care across various settings, including the PACE center, participants’ homes, virtual consultations, and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). The physician is responsible for managing a defined panel of participants, focusing on wellness promotion, illness prevention, and coordinating care with specialists and other IDT members.
Requirements
- Board-certified and eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Geriatrics
- Active unrestricted CA license to practice medicine by the Medical Board of California
- Previous experience with computer-based systems required
- Current DEA license required
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
