Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics required; Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred.
  • Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Resident Teaching Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise inpatient teams composed primarily of pediatric residents, family medicine residents, and medical students.
  • No non-teaching clinical service obligations.
  • Call by phone from home on alternating nights while on service.
  • Swing shifts distributed equitably among 9 hospitalists.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement efforts.
  • Engage in resident and medical student education in clinical and formal/didactic environments.
