About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant supports the delivery of outpatient care by carrying out treatment plans, assisting patients through therapeutic activities, and helping them move toward their functional goals. This role is important to the patient experience and plays a key part in keeping care consistent from visit to visit.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Current CPR certification
- Comfortable using WebPT or another EMR platform
- Reliable communication and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior outpatient experience is helpful, though not required
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercise, mobility work, and functional training
- Observe patient performance and report progress to the PT
- Reinforce home exercise instructions and patient education
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in WebPT
- Maintain treatment areas and help support clinic flow throughout the day
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members during the course of care
