Staff Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant works directly with patients to carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist. This role helps patients improve strength, mobility, balance, and overall function through guided therapeutic exercise, hands-on support, and consistent follow-through during each stage of recovery. The clinic sees 1 patient per hour, uses WebPT, and offers the flexibility of either a five-day schedule or four 10-hour shifts. Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Comfortable with EMR systems, including WebPT
- Strong communication and follow-through skills
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide treatment interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through exercise programs and functional movement activities
- Monitor patient response during sessions and report progress or concerns to the PT
- Reinforce home exercise programs and patient education
- Complete daily documentation accurately in WebPT
- Help maintain an organized and efficient treatment schedule
- Support a positive, professional patient experience during each visit
