The Staff Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to Customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling Customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, and maintaining confidential information and controlled medication documentation. This role involves demonstrating expertise in developing, executing, and improving action plans, providing guidance, and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs. The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for implementing business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders, identifying needs, monitoring progress, and adapting to changes. They model and enforce proper Customer service, ensuring issues are resolved within Company guidelines. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations is crucial, involving analyzing reports, implementing loss prevention and safety controls, overseeing reviews, and developing action plans. The role also focuses on comprehensive patient care, including administering immunizations and other Walmart programs, ensuring a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy. This includes communicating expectations, holding others accountable for SOPs, providing counseling on new therapies, and identifying areas for improvement in patient safety. Furthermore, the Staff Pharmacist creates an environment centered on health care compliance, actively communicates and guides compliance initiatives, ensures operational execution of billing procedures, HIPAA adherence, and SOPs, and utilizes auditing processes for improvement.
