About The Position

The position involves creating an outstanding customer experience and inspiring associates to deliver excellent customer service. The role requires establishing and maintaining a safe, clean environment that encourages customer return. The individual will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals for the department, controlling quality assurance standards and expenses, and properly scheduling and staffing technicians to meet business needs. Monitoring all functions, duties, and activities for the department is essential, along with demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
  • Effective oral/written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of retail experience.
  • Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill customers' prescription needs while concentrating on the accuracy of every prescription filled.
  • Administer vaccines as needed.
  • Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
  • Ensure pharmacies comply with all local, state, and federal laws (including HIPAA).
  • Maintain a professional image through personal appearance, conduct, and attitude.
  • Achieve a thorough knowledge of the trade area, its customers, and its competition.
  • Create a positive pharmacy department image through strong service, friendliness, and cooperativeness.
  • Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, policies/procedures, record keeping, security, sanitation, scheduling, and proper operation of all equipment.
  • Maintain proper records, inventory, and security on all scheduled drugs.
  • Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources.
  • Utilize accuracy tools appropriately.
  • Establish/maintain all record keeping practices necessary for legal compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, neat work area to present a professional image.
  • Ensure all product returns are handled in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain all equipment to ensure it remains in working condition.
  • Organize all policy manuals, reference books, state laws, and required equipment.
  • Maintain proper signage in all necessary areas.
  • Broaden personal knowledge and pharmacy skills continuously.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
