About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist at Meijer plays a crucial role in providing patient care and education within the pharmacy. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies and procedures.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in the state the unit operates.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Demonstrate competence and knowledge of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Exhibit effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
• Organize and prioritize workload effectively.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.
