About The Position

At CVS Health, we are focused on transforming health care for our customers and making our company a great place to work. We help people navigate the health care system – and their personal health care – by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. Within our Retail locations, we bring this promise to life with heart every day. The Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PMEL) plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team, while developing their own leadership skills in preparation for increasing responsibility. As a PMEL, you will build upon your skills and responsibilities as a Staff or District Support Pharmacist and build additional competencies to become ready for a Pharmacy Manager (PM) role. You will be expected to complete a self-paced, collaborative training roadmap with both virtual and hands-on learning experiences to prepare you to lead a pharmacy independently. Program length depends on prior leadership experience inside and outside of CVS Health but is typically completed within 3-6 months for most Pharmacy Manager candidates. While completing this roadmap, you will continue delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients, acting as a role model, mentor, and guide for the pharmacy team. You will support the home store PM by exhibiting best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing patients with meaningful counseling, and abiding by all legal and regulatory guidelines, complying with all workplace policies, amongst other required activities.
