About The Position

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Staff Pharmacist, you will ensure accuracy on medication distribution to automated dispensing cabinets; ensure removal of expired medications; assist in inventory management; assist in pharmacy audit functions; resolve or provide guidance to the hospital clinical staff; and maintain security of the pharmacy and controlled substances. This position is a Monday through Friday day shift to cover PTO hours determined by the Pharmacists-in-Charge to meet pharmacy operational needs for all 5 St. Rose Dominican facilities (Blue Diamond, North Las Vegas, Sahara, West Flamingo and Centennial) as needed.

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
• Current Nevada Pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting preferred
• Omnicell and/or Pyxis and Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
• Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
• Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting
