About The Position

As a part time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Fremont Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter and verify medication orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; complete daily and weekly reports and attend rounds and committee meetings as required; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. This position will provide coverage for 20-29 hours per week on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am-1:30pm.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communication skills; verbal and written

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
