Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Authorized User Status of radioactive materials on a pharmacy's license is a plus.
  • Board Certification as a Nuclear Pharmacist (BCNP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer is advantageous.
  • At least two years of experience as a nuclear pharmacist.
  • Customer-focused and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in nuclear pharmacy.
  • Willingness to achieve Authorized User status if not already obtained.
  • Interest in obtaining Board Certification as a Nuclear Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

  • Compound drugs with meticulous attention to detail, following customer orders.
  • Ensure cutting-edge technology tools like elute generators, calibrators, and analyzers are in top working order.
  • Conduct quality control checks on kits and instruments, including sterility tests and gas chromatography.
  • Monitor the radiation safety program and investigate spills and threats.
  • Counsel patients on prescriptions, answering their questions with empathy.
  • Research new formulas and guide patients on usage and expected outcomes.
  • Order supplies, manage inventory, and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
