Staff Pharmacist II - IDS Pharmacy - FT Day Shift

About The Position

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Investigational Drug Pharmacist Specialist, the Investigational Drug Staff Pharmacist II provides guidance and expertise in support of clinical investigational drug trials, serves as a resource for principle investigators, research sponsors, the IRB, and the pharmacy. Will also perform the day to day responsibilities of coordinating, collaborating, and providing expertise in support of clinical investigational trials, performing education responsibilities, providing accurate and efficient dispensing of medication, including IV order processing and compounding, as needed. Perform drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, the maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardio-pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and drug compounding. The Investigational Staff Pharmacist is also responsible for directing and supervising technicians, performing inventory control, and actively precepting pharmacy residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy. Requirements

  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy
  • One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire
  • One year of IDS experience
  • Current BLS or ACLS upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Pharm.D. highly desirable
  • One year of IV room, compounding experience. Knowledge of USP 797 regulations.
  • Completion of Good Clinical Practices training.
