The Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Department of Pharmaceutical Services share its philosophy of pharmaceutical care. As members of the health care team, the Staff Pharmacists II share responsibility for providing high quality, cost-effective patient care which promotes health. This includes evaluating and managing drug regimens for appropriateness of choice; teaching patients and their caregivers how to use drugs in the safest and most effective way; helping patients and their caregivers take an active role in managing their drug therapy; and advocating for patients the safe and effective use of drugs to other health care decision makers. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $104.79 - $104.79 (Hourly Rate).   • Must have graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy and possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or equivalent degree as determined by the National Board of Pharmacy.
  • For graduates in a non-US country or jurisdiction, pharmacists must have earned a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) Certification as determined by the National Board of Pharmacy
  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD).
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, or at least 3 years of inpatient/acute care services pharmacy experience.
  • Hold an advanced practice board certification (e.g., Board of Pharmacy Specialty certificates, AAHIVP, etc.)
  • Experience participating in pediatric and adult emergency situations.
