About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing quality pharmaceutical services primarily to hospital inpatients, with limited services for outpatients. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmacy practices and the ability to interact effectively with hospital staff across various levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Current Pharmacist license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Completion of ACPE course in the preparation of sterile products.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Laws regarding pharmacy practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of ACPE course (preferred) in the preparation of sterile products.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as Automix, Clinitec, BAXA, Micromedix, AS400 Order Entry, Worx, Dino System, and PYXIS System.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality pharmaceutical services to hospital inpatients and limited outpatient services.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in the education and training of pharmacy staff and interns.
