About The Position

Position Summary: Provide pharmaceutical care services to the patients including, but not limited to oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and proper documentation of patient medication therapy as well as providing drug information, patient information and oversight of information and dispensing systems. Additionally: ensures compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations. May also advise physicians on medication utilization.

Requirements

Minimum Education: Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on pharmaceutical education (ACPE).
Must possess a specialized pharmaceutical knowledge in addition to a good working knowledge of pharmacokinetic dosing and nutritional support.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Computer working knowledge.
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

Two years of hospital experience preferred.
Hospital pharmacy residency preferred
Doctor of pharmacy degree preferred.
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
