About The Position

Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Staff Packaging Engineer in R&D. This role is a squad level position responsible for Package Development for the Nutritionals/Dietary Supplements brands in the Self-Care Business. The successful candidate will be involved in resource assessment, feasibility work for projects, and governance lead. The position requires authoring and approving specifications, documentation, package line trials, and package testing to support product release. The individual will take a leadership role in packaging projects and will need to influence multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The role also involves developing future strategies in key focus areas such as sustainability, e-commerce, and package innovation, requiring in-depth knowledge of materials and processes used in packaging construction and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Engineering, or a related Science field; Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 6 years of proven experience in OTC, Food, Nutritionals/Dietary Supplements or related industry.
  • Solid understanding of packaging materials, structures, components, and conversion processes.
  • Experience in packaging line trials and package testing.
  • Ability to partner and lead effectively across functions.
  • Technical leadership skills and supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading multiple projects at manufacturing sites.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple evolving priorities with minimal direction.
  • Strong focus on sustainability and eCommerce packaging.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management skills.
  • Experience with Nutritionals/Dietary Supplements.
  • Strong technical writing/documentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks/CAD, Abaqus, or other finite element analysis software.
