Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and evaluate orthopedic conditions through physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, MRI, and CT scans
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing both surgical and non-surgical approaches
  • Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, arthroscopy, and other orthopedic interventions
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety, recovery, and optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including primary care providers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage as part of a full-time orthopedic service
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient medical records, including documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and surgical outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans
  • Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery and apply evidence-based practices to clinical decision-making
  • Participate in continuing medical education, professional development activities, conferences, and workshops
  • Adhere to ethical, professional, and regulatory standards including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and hospital policies
