About The Position

Responsible for evaluating and treating patients within the WashU Eye Center. This position is for adult clinical patients and may work from multiple clinical locations (Central West End, Creve Coeur, South County, Sunset Hills).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and treats patients, including refractive exams, contact lens fitting and dispensing, emergency exams, and evaluation and management of medical diseases of the eye.
  • Discusses and interprets findings with patients and suggests appropriate remedies.
  • Adheres to established compliance guidelines to include those governing the appropriate coding of patient services and diagnoses.
  • Adheres to established quality, safety, and hazardous material procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Ophthalmology.
