Staff Optical Engineers are core to KLA’s technology, while we do not currently have an opening, we are always building our optical talent community, we are interested in learning about your background. Apply to this posting for Future Opportunities with KLA . The Staff Optical Engineer will collaborate to develop next generation patterned wafer geometry metrology platform to produce comprehensive wafer warp, bow, dual-sided nanotopography, high-resolution distortion, in-plane displacement and stress measurements for IC manufacturers. This next gen tool incorporates innovative hardware technology and unique features that support patterned wafer applications with repeatable high precision measurements to support the most extreme wafer warp requirements for R&D and the most efficient inline monitoring applications for high volume manufacturing. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Write complete specifications for interferometer optics including objective, transmission flats and relay lenses including optomechanical and system level requirements for same, as well as metrology needed to perform optical subassembly qualification testing. Architect a state-of-the-art interferometry system which requires detailed analysis of optics manufacturing tradeoffs to conduct cost vs. performance studies. Bring a strong knowledge of the capabilities of critical fabrication and metrology tools including MRF, IBF, CGH, refractometers, centration measurement scopes, and stress meters used to fab and test both the lenses and qualify the fab process.
