About The Position

What you'll do... Position: Staff OmniCommerce Product Manager Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066 Duties: Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Develops technical product specifications for the architecture of underlying platform components (for example: identity, content management and payment processing) by using artifacts such as systems flows, product requirement documents and logical data models. Manages the evolution of a component of an ecommerce platform by collaborating with architects, services product managers and VP of Platform architecture to develop, maintain and evangelize the technical product roadmap associated to assigned area. Manages vendor relationships and identifies emerging technology platforms; evaluating and selecting vendors; negotiating agreements and contracts; managing partners integration; and securing necessary engagement and resource alignment for the creation of co-developed product features. Develops and champions a product strategy, and roadmap for a specific platform product area in support of architectural vision and principles established by the office of the CTO by leveraging consumer insights, competitive analysis and insights of emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities and enhancements; and working with multiple functions to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions. This position does not supervise employees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), Product Management, or related area and 4 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), Product Management, or related area and 6 years of experience in product management.
  • Experience building out product strategy by customer needs identification and prioritization through need-gap and competitive analysis, market analysis, and user surveys.
  • Experience communicating high level and detailed product specifications using product requirement documents (PRD) including business rules, user-flows, use cases, key success metrics, and user experience generated deliverables.
  • Experience launching customer-facing products and B2B2C supplier tools using Agile development methodology and tools, including Jira, Trello, and Kanban.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external third-party vendors to complete cross-functional projects.
  • Experience defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve the performance of website functions and creating A/B test plans to validate assumptions, hypotheses, and strategies.
  • Experience with comparison testing and reporting.
  • Experience with technology platform migration (legacy system migration/modernization) activities from one stack to another keeping backward compatibility.
  • Experience launching eCommerce features spanning over multiple spaces on desktop, mobile web, and mobile app.
  • Experience ensuring eCommerce compliance standards with company policies and legal regulations are met while creating digital products.
  • Experience with user research and user design/user experience technologies, including Figma.
  • Experience executing product discovery and identifying right use cases for machine learning.
  • Experience building machine learning based solutions to provide predictions and recommendations.
  • Experience supporting technologies for digital product development including Confluence, JIRA, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, cloud infrastructure, and APIs.
