About The Position

As a float pool nurse, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple world-renowned specialties to deliver hope and healing to patients from around the world in some of our most high acuity areas. This role supports the NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center Critical Care inpatient units including the Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuroscience ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Step-Down Units and more. Nurses in this dynamic role support the state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns by recovering post-Cesarean Section and post-procedural obstetrical patients in the PACU and by playing a critical role in maternal emergency response. You’ll have the freedom to explore new specialties and experiences in your nursing career and gain exposure to a broad range of challenges on our highly specialized units. This position offers experience, education, float pool and night shift differential on top of your base pay.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current NYS RN licensure
• BCLS and ACLS certification
• Proven experience to work autonomously in high pressure situations

Nice To Haves

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Critical Care RN, SDU experience and Cardiac Surgical experience
• Experience with caring for Post-Cesarean Section patients/ Obstetrical emergencies
