With our team of dedicated caregivers, Sinai Health System is committed to building stronger, healthier communities.   A partner with the Jewish United Fund in serving our community   Staff Nurse - Inpatient Behavioral Health Completes an initial treatment plan including basic and special needs Treats and cares for patients demonstrating understanding pf cognitive, emotional and chronological status Anticipates and provides for discharge needs Charts patient's progress in conjunction with the specific treatment plan Utilizes available resource including family, referral source, prior treatment sources, and current multidisciplinary treatment team Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for the therapeutic milieu Validates the appropriateness of written orders Implements physician and nursing orders as appropriate involving patient, family and significant others Competent group facilitation and 1:1 interactions

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • The Registered Nurse will have current RN Licensure in the State of Illinois
  • Current CPR - BLS certification
  • Successful completion of Hospital and Unit orientation programs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 1 year of nursing experience within area of inpatient psychiatry - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Completes an initial treatment plan including basic and special needs
  • Treats and cares for patients demonstrating understanding pf cognitive, emotional and chronological status
