We are looking to recruit Band 5 staff nurses to work within our Critical Care Department to support an enhanced level of care (level 1) for higher risk elective surgical patients. If you are an interested, motivated and enthusiastic nurse then why not come and join our Team to support our surgical patient pathway, working with the Critical Care Education team to achieve level 1 National Competencies in Enhanced Patient Care. This will strengthen knowledge skill and professional development in caring for acutely ill patients and the early recognition and management of the deteriorating patient. This is a friendly and supportive workplace. The role involves providing high quality nursing care and participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for post operative high risk surgical patients. These patients will require a higher acuity of monitoring, interventions and nursing than required in a standard ward environment. The nurse will deliver compassionate person-centered care, treating patients, service users, their families and their careers with consideration, dignity and respect. The position requires providing relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participating in the supervision, teaching, and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students. The successful candidate will play an active part in the continuing development of the department and contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
