About The Position
The Staff Nurse in the Emergency Room provides professional nursing care to people of all ages and their families. This role involves utilizing knowledge of the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document care. The nurse formulates nursing diagnoses for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling, and providing care in the emergency setting. Additionally, the nurse is responsible for delegating appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel and displaying professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center's standard of care, along with the institution's mission and goal objectives.
