About The Position

The Meadows of Wadena is excited to be expanding our nursing team and is seeking a compassionate, dependable Staff Nurse (RN) to join our already-strong care team. This is a newly added position designed to strengthen our clinical support and ensure continued excellent care for our seniors. You will work closely with a dedicated and collaborative care team to support our assisted living and memory care residents and uphold the high standards of care The Meadows of Wadena is known for.

Requirements

• Genuinely care about and be committed to the well-being of seniors in our care.
• Have a solid general nursing background, with geriatric experience preferred, but not required.
• Have good judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Be dependable and able to work with minimal direct supervision once trained.
• Understand, read, write, and speak English.
• Be authorized by the State of Minnesota to work, unsupervised, with our residents as determined by a background study.
• Be a currently licensed RN in the State of Minnesota.

Nice To Haves

• geriatric experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• New admissions and discharges.
• Order, prepare, and/or administer medications.
• Transcribe and assist with implementation of physician orders.
• Monitor resident health and respond to change in conditions appropriately.
• Assist with the training and supervision of direct care staff.
