About The Position

The Opportunity Duties may evolve and change as circumstances warrant for now anticipated duties include: Staff RN to assist the Director and MD’s. will provide ambulatory nursing services, first aid, and urgent care to all registered students. promote optimal wellness, and participate in the management of acute illness, RN Will be responsible for COVID-related issues such as quarantine, isolation, testing as needed, retrieving test results, sharing info with appropriate parties. Will manage COVID-19 vaccine clinics, will be responsible for testing students who need COVID-19 testing. The Rn will become CPR trainer certified and run CPR monthly training for students and faculty. Must be able to do venipuncture, give immunizations, will work under direction of RN and MD within the limits set by the University, state and federal agencies, and guidelines and mandates of the State Board of Nursing. The RN will have considerable knowledge of professional nursing theory, techniques, practices and procedures; considerable knowledge of medical terminology, disease process and body systems, current clinical diagnostic procedures and treatment and skills in applying this knowledge. The RN will have the ability to evaluate a plan of nursing intervention to meet the needs of individual patients. Ability to make accurate decisions based upon the review of medical records and the ability to make recommendations for improvement in nursing services. The RN will work under standing orders from the contracted Physicians on staff. Responsible for maintaining records in HIPAA compliance, both on Pyramed software program and paper charts. The RN will provide high-quality patient care and keep patient satisfaction at a high level. Will be responsible for organizing outside clinics offered to campus population. Must be proficient in writing skills and will write health and wellness articles for the campus newspaper. In regard to Testing, the RN will be responsible for follow-up on test results, will learn to do testing on site for COVID, MONO, STREP, FLU. Must be able to collect specimens for LabCorp and Sonora Labs. Will communicate with appropriate parties per RN and DOS direction. Will manage vaccine records with the state, including ordering, temperature control reporting to ASIIS with orientation and vaccination requirements. Will be responsible for registration with the state and following CDC and YCHD guidelines. Will continue research with CDC for any changes regarding vaccine information. Will provide relief for on call Wellness Center staff as needed for evenings and weekends when requested. Will be responsible for orientation and wellness training as needed. Will work with housing to monitor cases and assist with accommodations as needed, test any ERAU campus member who has symptoms. Requirements

  • Must be a registered nurse
