About The Position

United Recovery Project (Genesis House) in Lake Worth, Florida is seeking a dedicated LPN or RN Staff Nurse to join our Detox and Residential Treatment Program. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, clinically skilled nurse who is passionate about treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions while delivering safe, patient-centered care in a residential setting. Current opening is for 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM full-time position. The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, including medication administration, assessments, and ongoing monitoring of patients in detox and residential levels of care. This role is responsible for accurate clinical documentation, supporting patient safety, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care throughout the treatment process.

Requirements

  • Active and valid LPN or RN license required
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Current BLS certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a detox and/or residential setting preferred
  • Experience with KIPU EMR is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in detox and residential settings, including monitoring vitals and overall health status
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions
  • Complete nursing assessments upon admission and throughout the patient’s stay
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to support individualized care plans
  • Assist with admission, discharge, and continuity of care processes
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in compliance with DCF, Joint Commission, and company standards
  • Respond to medical needs, emergencies, and changes in patient condition appropriately
  • Support patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and leadership regarding patient care
  • Provide a structured, safe, and supportive environment for all patients
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Uphold professional nursing standards and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work culture
