About The Position

This position involves providing and managing emergency patient care in the Emergency Department under the guidance of the director, manager, and charge nurses. The role includes implementing the nursing process, supervising both licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordinating interdisciplinary care to ensure effective patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current active California Registered Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card.
• AHA ACLS and AHA PALS or ENPC certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification prior to completing department orientation.
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 4 months of hire or transfer into the Emergency Department.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Above average computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred one year recent Emergency Department experience.
• Knowledge of common disease processes, treatment modalities, and interventions.
