There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
HCMC has a current opening for a Staff Nurse in Jail Health Services. This position is casual, with 8-hour shifts that include day, evening, and night rotating shifts. Jail Health Services is under contract with Hennepin County Medical Center and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office to provide medical services to the jail inmate population. The Hennepin County Jail is the largest and busiest pre-trial adult detention center in Minnesota, with approximately 35,000 individuals booked into the jail each year. Initial medical screenings are conducted at the time an inmate is booked into the jail to triage for urgent medical needs. Before their 14th day of incarceration, all inmates receive a mandatory health assessment and Tuberculosis screening. The jail offers medical, mental health, and dental services on a 24-hour basis, and the clinic also operates a 4-bed infirmary unit for hospital diversion. Note: If you are currently in a benefit earning position and apply for this casual position, you will be decreasing your current hours to casual with no benefits.
