About The Position

Requirements
- Must possess demonstrated communication skills
- Must display comprehensive and current knowledge of nursing theory and nursing care in the free standing ambulatory endoscopy unit.
- Adequate understanding of a wide variety of medical/surgical terminology and pathophysiology, endoscopy procedures and required patient preparations.
- Skilled in venipuncture.
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to implement principles of aseptic technique.
- Knowledge of basic infection control practices.
- Understanding of proper positioning techniques, and sedating agents' effects, including conscious sedation.
- Knowledge of endoscopy instruments and equipment to include the use, handling and care, especially of endoscopy equipment
- Must be able to work a minimum of two days in a pay period.
