Staff Nurse Physical Rehab
About The Position
United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Physical Rehabilitation Unit to join our team at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. The Rehabilitation unit is passionate about building relationships with patients to learn about and aid in reaching their goals. The rehabilitation unit focuses on continuous treatment of medical issues while prepping patients to return home. You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.
Requirements
- A valid RN license
- CPR certification
- 1 year med surg experience or med surg rehab experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current NYS RN License
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
- Relevant skills certification (i.e. ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
Responsibilities
- Building relationships with patients to learn and aid in goals
- Working with therapy unit to build plan of action
- Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment as needed
- Administering medications from Physician
