We have an exciting opportunity for a group of experienced Band 5 nurses or paramedics to join the Emergency Department team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. As one of the regions busiest Emergency Departments and Trauma Unit this is an opportunity to play a key role in innovation and transformation. We are looking for qualified band 5 nurses with a minimum of 6 months post qualification experience in the acute hospital setting. These posts are not suitable for NQN. The Role of a band 5 within the Emergency Department is that of delivering quality of care to all our patients. You will be supported in learning a vast range of new skills, including dressings, treatment of high dependency patients and Triage. You will work across all areas of the departments including Resus, the Ambulance Receiving Centre and Triage meaning no two shifts are the same. You will have a dedicated Band 6 and Band 7 sister to support you we have a dedicated Practice Education team to help you with your learning and training needs. Advert To provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group. To deliver compassionate person-centred care, and treat patients, service users, their families and their careers with consideration, dignity and the respect you would want for yourself or your family. To provide relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students. To play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors
