Staff Nurse - Cath Lab
About The Position
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab. Note: this position may cross train in Interventional Radiology This position is a 0.7 FTE (7 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Days, On Call per unit policy. RESPONSIBILITIES: Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health Preventing illness and injury Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
Requirements
- 1 year of recent adult ICU and/or Cardiac Cath Lab professional nursing (RN) experience
- ACLS Certification
- Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and be able to stand for long periods of time and assist wiht moving patients including wheelchairs, beds, and carts
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Nice To Haves
- Certification in area of clinical specialty
- BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
