About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Network Engineer with a strong background in network & security to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network systems while ensuring the highest standards of security across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in network architecture, troubleshooting, and proactive risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on system security.
  • Expertise with routing, switching, and wireless technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with security platforms such as firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, WatchGuard, etc), IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, and network protocols.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (Python, Ansible, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex network projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity.
  • Implement and maintain network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, etc.), ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Monitor network performance, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular network audits, penetration tests, and risk assessments.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Must be willing to participate in on-call or onsite support in the nights & weekends to support incident troubleshooting.
