Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill a Staff Network Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Fairfax, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
  • Active TS/SCI with an adjudicated full-scope polygraph at time of application.
  • Candidates are required to be Security+ certified.
  • Candidates must have the ability to work within a group or independently.
  • Experience as a Wide Area Network Subject Matter Expert.

Nice To Haves

  • Firewall Hardware and Software Knowledge, administration, management and modifications.
  • CISCO Router, Switches Hardware and Software Knowledge.
  • COMSEC equipment knowledge.
  • Linux and Windows knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan network communication systems.
  • Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate network faults and failures in a LAN/WAN environment.
  • Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selections, implementation techniques and tools.
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and software interconnections and interfacing.
  • Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
