About The Position

Identify, diagnose, and resolve defect and metrology-related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC/FDC methodology Drive product quality, yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity, and risk management as well as resolve manufacturing line problems Coordinate and carry out sensitivity and gauge evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost optimization activities Audit and collaborate with equipment suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk mitigation objectives

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in metrology development for semiconductor products
  • Strong knowledge of metrology tooling capability, process areas, and experience employing AI to improve outputs and timelines
  • 5+ years of experience in creating recipes and models for CDs or films thickness, working extensively with the process flow related to area equipment and SPC principles
  • Experience developing procedures or action plans when one isn't in place
  • Validated automation skills through previous automation projects requiring coding/machine learning/JMP Scripting
  • Confirmed ability to communicate and present effectively to a wide variety of audiences, prioritize, stay organized, and work effectively with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong understanding of physics, area chemistry, and semiconductor equipment concepts
  • 8+ years working directly with Advanced Packaging metrology or Metrology development in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience with CD and Registration metrology methods
  • Project management experience
  • Solid technical writing and research experience to assess process adjustment requirements and guide recommendations for improvements and innovations
