There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
As a Mechanical Engineering Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high voltage, high power density motors specifically for eVTOL applications. This role encompasses all aspects of the mechanical design of the electric engine, including rotor, stator, and gearbox components. You will analyze and optimize engine designs using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for mechanical modeling, thermal modeling, acoustics, and vibration. Additionally, you will support the validation of results through dynamometer testing and design test equipment such as dynamometers and testing fixtures. Your responsibilities will span all stages of development from concept through to production release and support, including evaluating new technologies and design improvements to create the most power dense, efficient, and reliable electric engine. Rapid prototyping of conceptual designs will also be a key part of your role, along with generating design packages that include detailed drawings, analysis reports, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions. You will assist in generating vital technical documents for the mechanical team, including technical component specifications, prototype test plans, statements of work for sourcing components, and assembly instruction manuals.
